Twiki and Gov2.0: Innovative Open Architecture Platform and Solutions
I am so proud to be associated with Twiki. Some of the personal reasons I enjoy working with them is an ability to interact with and learn from their CEO Jitendra Kavathekar (@JeetKavathekar) and their founder Peter Thoeny (@peterthoeny). Cyber And Physical Security: The discussion continues

The piece, titled "Cyber and Physical Security Unite," is still online at http://govtsecurity.com/mag/cyber_physical_security and still gets periodic attention. I've been asked by some government friends to update my thoughts on the old article I mentioned, and am noodling over how to do that now. If you have any … [Read more...]

Opinion: The most needed innovations in IT are in the security domain
The IT industry is about two things: Functionality and Security. They go hand in hand. If you have functionality with no security it is worthless. If you have security without functionality it is stupid. So the reality is that security and functionality really go hand in hand. But another reality is that every organization and innovator tends to focus on getting the functionality out with just the minimum amount of attention provided to … [Read more...]
An iPad Review: No matter what the app, it just works well
I got an iPad on Saturday, and spent about 25 hours straight putting it through the paces (my family was also part of the test team). The speed and user interface along with the apps are stunning. It is light and fast, the battery lasts over 10 hours between recharges (as Apple claimed it would). I have over 130 apps, 477 photos, 14 movies, and 664 songs loaded on it. I believe that the way the apps and content work together with the interface … [Read more...]
