ORLANDO, Fla., Oct 22, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Fixmo, the mobile risk management (MRM) company, today unveiled its new Fixmo AppZone mobile application management (MAM) solution along with a strategic partnership with App47 at the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo 2012. In concert with the launch of the offering and the partnership, Fixmo announces the Fixmo AppZone Challenge, a limited-time offer for enterprise and government customers to deploy Fixmo's cloud-based enterprise app store solution for one year at no charge.
Fixmo AppZone is a comprehensive MAM solution that enables IT organizations to centrally manage, support, optimize and secure its growing fleet of mobile apps. The solution is powered by App47, a leader in mobile application management and analytics, and will offer the following capabilities:
-- Secure Enterprise App Store for managing distribution and support of in-house developed mobile apps as well as third party commercial apps
-- App testing, performance monitoring and crash analysis tools to help IT organizations pinpoint performance issues and work out the bugs prior to deploying apps into production
-- App wrapping SDK for adding advanced performance monitoring, real-time usage analytics, custom event notifications and compliance reporting to existing mobile apps
Fixmo AppZone is the newest addition to the Fixmo MRM portfolio, which already includes Fixmo Sentinel MDM and Integrity Verification Services, Fixmo SafeZone secure container and enterprise productivity apps, and the Fixmo SafeGuard app security SDK for wrapping mobile apps with FIPS 140-2 encryption and advanced policy controls. With the introductory Fixmo AppZone Challenge offer, customers who register prior to December 15th will be eligible for a free one-year subscription to Fixmo AppZone.
Partnership to Deliver End-to-End Solution for Enterprise Mobility and BYOD Compliance
In addition to the launch of Fixmo AppZone, Fixmo and App47 have announced a strategic partnership to deliver the industry's first end-to-end solution for defense-grade mobile application security, management, analytics and compliance. The two companies will deliver an integrated solution with a focus on helping organizations secure, contain, monitor, manage and track all business apps and corporate data residing on company-liable and employee-owned (BYOD) mobile devices, while ensuring they can monitor system integrity and prove regulatory compliance in an auditable fashion. The partnership will bring together App47's solutions for mobile application testing, deployment, performance monitoring and analytics with Fixmo's defense-grade solutions for application security and containment, device integrity verification, policy management and audit reporting.
"Fixmo and App47 share a common vision of helping organizations embrace the full utility of mobile devices, whether they are company-owned or employee-owned, without sacrificing security, manageability, user experience or compliance," said Rick Segal, CEO of Fixmo. "Together we are helping customers adopt a strategic approach to enterprise mobility that focuses on employee enablement, risk management and compliance rather than command-and-control and risk avoidance tactics that restrict what employees can do and sacrifice potential returns on mobility."
"The next frontier in enterprise mobility centers around empowering employees with access to all of the business apps they need on their devices of choice," said Chris Schroeder, CEO of App47. "We are thrilled to be partnering with Fixmo to help customers solve this challenge in a cost-effective and centralized way, while delivering the best possible user experiences and maintaining corporate compliance."
Fixmo will be demonstrating the new Fixmo AppZone powered by App47, as well as its portfolio of mobile security and risk management solutions, at the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo in Orlando, FL from October 21 - 25 at booth #839.
