If you do business with DoD you know the importance of complying with DFARS. If you don’t, you will be in violation of your contracts. So really it is not just important to know DFARS, it is mandatory.
If you are a small business DFARS compliance can be hard. You really need to be efficient about compliance or it can eat up all your profits.
It is also very important that small businesses make their voices heard on DFARS. One way to do that is by taking a survey NDIA has underway right now.
The survey just takes a few minutes and can help drive positive change for small businesses serving national security missions. The NDIA is assembling information about the Defense Industrial Base, to better understand current and potential future impacts of the DFARS 252 – 204. 7012 cybersecurity standards to the DIB. You can take this survey even if you are not currently a NDIA member. For more information about the DFARS 7012 regulations, please see the NIST website.

Thanks in advance for your time! NDIA National is going to use survey results to inform its policy responses & products. The results also are going into an industry white paper that will come out in June from the NDIA San Diego Small Business Task Force.
