Elastic: Enabling Enterprises To Search, Observe, Protect


Elastic is the company behind the the Elastic Stack, which is Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, and Logstash. From stock quotes to Twitter streams, Apache logs to WordPress blogs, Elastic help people and enterprises explore and analyze their data differently using the power of search.

Elastic is widely known in the enterprise world because of the ELK stack. ELK is an acronym for three open source projects, Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana. Elasticsearch is a search and analytics engine. Logstash is a server-side data processing pipeline that ingests data from multiple sources simultaneously, transforms it, then sends it to a stash like Elasticsearch. Kibana lets users visualize data with charts and graphs in Elasticsearch.

Elastic Stack is the next evolution of ELK Stack. It remains open, but adds new capabilities for data management called Beats and integrates all the capabilities far more.
