Read why Tony Bradley thinks Apple’s FaceTime bug is very frightening on Forbes:
Ok, everybody. Breathe. It’s going to be OK. Yes. The Facetime eavesdropping bug actually works. I recreated it just like everyone else in the world who has read the article. However, the reaction from the media and even from some cybersecurity professionals is a bit on the melodramatic side in my opinion. A. If someone calls you via FaceTime, you will probably hear the call coming in, so it won’t be a complete surprise or really stealthy eavesdropping. B. It’s fair to say that someone would be pretty bored eavesdropping on 99.99% of all conversations. In most cases, the worst you might catch someone saying is, “Ugh. Him?! I’m not answering that. That guy sucks!”
