OPSWAT protects critical infrastructure and orgs that require advanced threat prevention

Research Team April 22, 2020

We are tracking OPSWAT in our Guide to Technology as a Cybersecurity Company.

OPSWAT is trusted by over 1,000 organizations worldwide to protect infrastructure and reduce risk from cyber attack. Their goal: Eliminate malware and zero-day attacks. They designed their solutions with an understanding that every file and every device could pose a threat, so all threats must be addressed at all locations at all times. This includes at entry, exist and rest.

OPSWAT products focus on threat prevention and process creation for secure data transfer, as well as other aspects required to ensure safe device access.

This is why 98% of US Nuclear power facilities trust OPSWAT for cybersecurity and compliance.

Two key OPSWAT products include MetaDefender and MetaAccess. MetaDefender removes threats by disarming and deconstructing files so any malicious components are stripped out. MetaAccess is an access control solution for the cloud.

For a very high level introduction to their approach see:

Deeper insights into OPSWAT will be provided in a webinar on Reducing Teleworking Risks with a Software Defined Perimeter (SDP) on 13 May 2020 at 2pm ET.
