Tim Cook believes that some form of government regulation is necessary. In a broadcast, as part of an interview on Axios on HBO, he said some level of government regulation over Silicon Valley is inevitable. In the broadcast, Cook also defended Apple’s deal with Google’s search engine despite privacy concerns from Safari users. In response to the question, Cook emphasized the security and privacy measures that Apple builds directly into its Safari browser while still allowing its users access to “the best” search engine.
